Abstract

The author’s formulation of the concept of ≪investment activity of the region≫ is proposed in the article, the essential aspects and characteristics of regional investment activity are considered. The mechanism of managing the investment activity of the region and its structure are investigated, the levels of implementation of management actions and directions grouped into five functional modules are determined. The analysis of the tools and methods used in practice to regulate investment activity is carried out. On the basis of foreign experience, the features and advantages of public-private partnership as one of the tools for managing regional investment activity are investigated. In order to activate investment activity at the meso-level, the instruments of public-private partnership suggest ways to improve information, analytical and institutional support for investment activities, as well as the legislative framework with the expansion of the functions of regional authorities to conclude an agreement on public-private partnership.
