The author gives a historical and philosophical analysis of the Belarusian national idea through the conceptual apparatus of Pierre Bourdieu. Three cases are considered: the formation of East Slavic civilization through Christian book-learning and the concept of the "Russian land", the Soviet institutionalization of the Belarusian national form and the challenges of the digital era. Belarus is interpreted as a "node of compatibility", i.e. a space of cultural translation and reformatting of symbolic modes.
The author considers the concept of academic capital developed by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu within the framework of the sociocultural conditioning of scientific and philosophical knowledge and the social history of science. The article shows the development of this concept, the relationship between academic capital and other forms of capital and academic authority, and explicates the main types of capital in science and education. The potential of metadata analysis is also shown.
The article systematizes research approaches to studying symbolic capital in geopolitical processes. It shows how the struggle for recognition, status, and legitimacy unfolds against the backdrop of multipolarity, competing narratives, and the digital mediatization of international relations. Proxy indicators and criteria for recognition are proposed.
The article analyzes the social capital phenomenon, which has been in focus for many social scientists and humanists, exploring it from two main perspectives: as a specific phenomenon of social life and as a theoretical concept.
The article considers the problem of symbolic capital, given as a cultural code, in the contemporary socio-communicative space.
The author shows how art is transformed into symbolic capital based on public recognition that artistic value does not exist in isolation: it is produced and confirmed by institutions of legitimation, and can then be converted into economic benefits, social connections, and influence.
The significance of scientific work and its measurability, trends within professional communities and external visibility, the capitalization of knowledge, and the volatility of academic fashions were discussed with experts at a scientific lounge hosted by the journal "Science and Innovation" and the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
INNOVATION ECONOMY
The article provides a comparative analysis of the level of innovative development in the Republic of Belarus based on data from the Global Innovation Index, a number of indicators from the European Innovation Scoreboard, as well as the author's assessment of Belarus' possible position in the EIS ranking.
This article demonstrates that the development of scientific and technological development is the foundation for the formation of new productive forces and the achievement of China's high-quality development. Planning in this area is carried out within the framework of strategic and programmatic documents and combines catch-up and breakthrough objectives. Key areas outlined in the «Made in China 2025» initiative, the 14th Five-Year Plan of the People's Republic of China, and the Chinese Government's reports for 2022 and 2023 are examined. Recommendations are developed for adapting China's experience to the conditions of the Republic of Belarus in the context of enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy.
DIGITAL PERSPECTIVE
In the conditions of the rapidly developing high-tech sector, the issue of effective application of marketing tools becomes especially relevant. This article is devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of marketing strategies and tools used in the market of high-tech manufacturing organisations of the Republic of Belarus. The study considers the characteristic features of high-tech products that complicate and complement traditional approaches to marketing, as well as the opportunities and limitations arising from the use of modern digital platforms and technologies and tools. The application of specific marketing tools within the marketing strategies of enterprises of the high-tech sector is considered.

The article gives data on the role of the Belarusian scientific school in solving one of the most pressing problems of the modern world – minimizing the harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation on humans, the environment, and technical devices in various areas.
The author suggests a new perspective on issues such as modeling complex environments, computational limitations, and the development of next-generation devices based on heterogeneous environments for extreme conditions. It identifies not always obvious physical effects and their associated limitations, as well as ways to overcome them when classical solutions are limited in applicability.
