Studying the protective materials resistance to high-speed particle impact
Abstract
Using the example of a common structural alloy, D16T, a method for studying the protective materials resistance to high-speed particle impacts was developed and implemented. Combining experiments and numerical modeling, as the most promising approach to studying high-speed impacts, allows us to obtain values that can be used to describe the behavior of target materials without labor-intensive and expensive testing.
