Solid fuels: From black powder to blends with nanostructured additives

Abstract

The article describes the stages of solid rocket fuel evolution, indicating the features and disadvantages of their mixed varieties containing micro- and nanoparticles of metals. The nanostructured silicon used as a solid rocket fuel component is shown as promising in the rocket and space industry problems solution
