Solid flame

Abstract

The article gives a short excursus to the history of combustion. Special attention is paid to the process of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. The author considers the stochastic structure of the heterogeneous mixture used in SHS influence on the features of its combustion near the extinction limit.
