Abstract

The article gives a chronology of the agricultural land alienation in areas affected by the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster, as well as considers the reversal of their status in accordance with the state government decisions, the mechanism for returning land to cultivation, and the extensive work carried out by scientists over 40 years to ensure that agricultural, forest, and other lands can be returned to people and used for the benefit of the republic.
