Author Guidelines

The journal’s editorial staff  asks the authors of the submitted materials to follow the instructions on the presentation procedure for a qualifying scientific work (thesis) for the degree of candidate and doctor of science, an abstract and publications on the thesis subject (Resolution of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus on February 28, 2014 No.3 https://www.isz.minsk.by/dokumenty/oformlenie_literatura.pdf     Examples of bibliographic description are in the list of sources provided in the thesis and abstract (Order of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus dated June 25, 2014 No.159) https://www.isz.minsk.by/dokumenty/oformlenie_literatura.pdf, as well as On amendments to the templates for the bibliographic description in the list of sources provided in the dissertation and abstract (Order of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus dated September 8, 2016 N 206) http://lib.vstu.by/Site%20pdf/change_order.pdf and be guided by the following rules:

1. Manuscripts sent to the editors of the journal "Science and Innovations" must be original materials in Russian or Belarusian, not published earlier in other printed editions. The volume of a scientific article considered as a dissertation publication must be at least 14,000 characters. This volume includes text, tables, figures, photographs and bibliography. Materials are submitted in printed form in two copies and in electronic form. The electronic version of the article must be typed in the WORD for Windows program with the .rtf extension (the .docWORDa extension is acceptable, versions not older than 2000, the text must be typed in Times New Roman, size 12 pt). If graphs and charts were built in Excel, the source file is attached. All illustrative material must be submitted as a separate file (formats: .cdr (version not higher than 10.0), .ai, .wmf, .psd, .fh, .jpg, .tif (.tiff) with a resolution of at least 300 dpi) or printed on white paper with a whiteness of 101% according to ISO 2470, class "C", as well as in the form of printed photographs. All figures, infographics should be no larger than 170x240 mm and, and if there are text blocks, they should be typed separately at the end of the article. Tables and formulas must be editable.

Signatures for figures and diagrams are given separately. The photos must have a contrasting image and be printed on glossy paper sized no smaller than 9x12 cm. On the back of the photo (figure) it is necessary to indicate the name of the author, the title of the article and the number of the photo (figure).

In accordance with the International System of Units of Measurement (SI), the dimension of all quantities used in the articles must correspond to the specified system of measurements.

Cited literature is given as a general list on a separate page, references in the text are indicated by serial numbers in square brackets. The list of references must be given in accordance with GOSTs 7.1=2003 and 7.82=2001. The number of links cannot exceed 18;

for books – the author’s last name and initials, the full title of the book, place and year of publication;

for journal articles – the author’s last name and initials, the title of the article, the name of the journal, the year of edition, volume, issue number, pages.

Links to unpublished works are not allowed.

The material must be signed by all authors. Information about the authors, their place of work, positions held, academic degrees and titles are attached to the article on a separate page, the passport data of the authors are given, their office and home phone numbers are indicated.

The articles qualified as scientific publications are supplied with one copy of the expert council’s conclusion on the absence of information containing a state secret; summary in Russian and English, the UDC index is indicated. Articles about the research results of a scientific institution must have the directorate of this institution permission for publication.

For papers having the academicians and corresponding members as co-authors, the submission of reviews is not required.

The problematic articles received by the editorial board can be sent for review at the discretion of the editorial board. In case of refusal to publish the submitted material, the editors do not give a written opinion on the reasons for such a decision and do not acquaint the author with the results of the review.

Manuscripts that do not meet the above requirements will not be accepted for publication and will not be returned.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
