Rapport of the jacquard pattern on fabrics of the 16th –18th centuries in the light of modern technologie
Abstract
There are studied the origin, diffusion and regional features of the patterned silk fabrics technology, underlining their historical elitism, as well as the originality of woven ornaments in the territory of modern Belarus, which have combined the Eastern and Western traditions. Suggestions are made to revive the ancient fabric patterns for decorating museums, interiors, making clothes and for other purposes.
