Рассмотрено становление и развитие стартапов в Республике Беларусь, особое внимание уделяется появлению соответствующего термина, а также мировому опыту развития стартап- движения. Очерчена роль стартапов. Выявлены проблемы этого направления в Республике Беларусь, предложены пути их преодоления

The article examines the features of the formation and development of startups in the Republic of Belarus, paying special attention to the emergence of the term "startup", the stages of its development, as well as the world experience of the development of the startup movement. The article considers the dynamics of the creation and development of startups in the Republic of Belarus, as an element of the innovation infrastructure to support small and medium-sized businesses, and the role of the state in the development of startup events in the country. The problems in the development of the startup movement in the Republic of Belarus as an element of the innovative infrastructure for supporting small and medium-sized businesses are identified, and the directions for its improvement are proposed
