<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The authors give characteristics of nanoparticles used in medicine and biology, consider the mechanisms of drug transport with their help, as well as research conducted at the Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in this area.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>наночастицы</kwd><kwd>нанотехнологии</kwd><kwd>свойства наночастиц</kwd><kwd>транспорт наночастиц</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа поддержана Государственным комитетом по науке и технологиям Республики Беларусь и Белорусским республиканским фондом фундаментальных исследований, гранты Б21КОРГ-001, Б21АРМГ-002, Б22УЗБ-003, Б21ТЮБ-001, Б21РМ-045, Б21M-001</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">An Overview of the Applications of Nanomaterials and Nanodevices in the Food Industry / M.
